The First Partners of the 15. Edition of the European Congress of Small and Medium Enterprises
On October 27 and 28, Katowice will become the European capital of the SME sector. The 15th jubilee edition of the European Congress of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (EKMŚP) will take place at the International Congress Center, the largest event in Europe dedicated to companies in this sector.
The Congress is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice, and co-organized by the Silesian Voivodeship, the City of Katowice, and Business in Silesia – Department of Promotion, Economy and Sport of the Marshal's Office. The event has been honored by the Polish government: Minister of Infrastructure, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy, and the Advocate of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Agnieszka Majewska.
Special and content Partners
Congress is also supported by key business institutions. One of the special partners is the European Confederation of Associations of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CEA-PME) – the largest SME organization in Europe, with over 1.5 million companies in 35 countries. Another special partner is the Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSSE) – the leader among Polish special economic zones and No. 1 in Europe, where over 600 companies operate, investing a total of approximately PLN 50 billion and creating almost 100,000 jobs. This year's Congress is also being organized with academic and local government support. The event's content partner is the WSB Academy, a strong scientific and research center that provides education in 10 locations. The main local government partner is the city of Dąbrowa Górnicza, an important center of the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis, and the largest city in the region by area, the ninth largest in Poland. The city of Czechowice-Dziedzice, located on the border of industrialized Silesia and the Beskid slopes, has also joined the group of local government partners.

Participation in this year’s Congress, whose slogan is “HERE & NOW”, is free of charge. The program will feature panels, discussions, and networking meetings – including new, interactive formats.
